MINIMUM DONATION:
Half Marathon - $30.00 early registration, $35.00 after February 6th
5k run and 2 mile walk - $25.00 early registration, $30.00 after February 6th
Details
- All pre-registered entrants will receive fleece gloves.
- Runners are being asked to provide a MINIMUM donation as their race entry fee, however it is strongly encouraged that participants take the opportunity to raise additional money for this great cause.
- NEW for 2012 - Prizes will be awarded to the top two fundraisers.
- NEW for 2012 - COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED!! Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed/most creative costumes or t-shirts.
- Race packets and registration will be available on Saturday, February 11th at the Running Room Store in Rochester from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. and at Mayo High School from 7:30 am to 9:30 am on race day.
- Awards will be presented (3 deep) based on the following age categories for the half marathon and 5k: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over. In addition there will be a half marathon and 5k overall male and female winner award. The half marathon will also include male and female masters (40 and over) awards.
- Post race awards ceremony with speakers, a silent auction and refreshments.
- Free showers are available at the Rochester Area Family Y (708 First Avenue SW). Show your LUABC race number at the front desk. There is a small fee for towel rental.
Extreme Weather Conditions Notice
This is a winter run, therefore we could be faced with extreme weather conditions on race day. Please make certain you dress appropriately for the conditions. If there are extreme weather conditions the weekend of the race, the LUABC organizers retain the right to shorten the route or cancel the event entirely. All entry fees are nonrefundable. Please check www.luabc.org for up-to-date weather information and event changes.
Lodging
Discounted lodging is available at The Kahler Grand Hotel. $69.00 rooms are available under the "Lace Up Race" room block. Please notify the hotel that you are running the race when making your reservation. Reservations must be made by February 1st, 2012 to receive the special rate.
